Job Description

Technical Drawing & Documentation

• Prepare complete construction drawing packages, including drawing indexes, cover sheets, schedules, layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings. 
• Convert approved design concepts, 3D renderings, and material specifications into accurate technical drawings for project implementation. 
• Produce detailed joinery drawings, custom furniture drawings, millwork details, and fabrication documentation. 
• Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, CAD protocols, and project requirements.
  

Construction & Joinery Detailing

• Develop construction details that are practical, buildable, and aligned with site conditions. 
• Prepare technical detailing for: 
• Built-in furniture 
• Custom carpentry works 
• Ceiling plans 
• Partition details 
• Interior fit-out works 
• Material junctions and finishing details 
• Provide technical solutions and recommendations to resolve design and construction challenges.
  

Site Coordination & Verification

• Conduct site visits to perform measurements, verify site conditions, and identify potential design or construction constraints. 
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, contractors, suppliers, and fabricators regarding technical requirements. 
• Review and verify site dimensions against design drawings to ensure accuracy before drawing issuance. 
• Resolve discrepancies between design intent and actual site conditions.
  

Quality Control & Drawing Accuracy

• Review and cross-check all drawings for dimensional accuracy, technical consistency, material specifications, and revision control. 
• Ensure drawing deliverables are complete, coordinated, and ready for construction or fabrication. 
• Maintain proper documentation, version control, and drawing records throughout project lifecycles. 
• Ensure all drawings are issued according to project timelines and quality standards.
  

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Interior Designers to translate creative concepts into practical construction solutions. 
• Provide technical support during project planning, costing, and execution stages. 
• Assist in mentoring junior drafters and sharing best practices within the drafting team. 

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting Technology, Building Technology, or a related field. 
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical drafting, interior fit-out, architecture, or design & build projects. 
• Experience producing construction drawings and joinery details for commercial, residential, retail, or hospitality projects.
  

Technical Skills

• Proficient in: 
• AutoCAD 
• SketchUp 
• Knowledge of the following is an advantage:

• Strong knowledge of:
