Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous Metrology Engineer to guarantee the precision and dependability of measurement systems utilized in manufacturing and quality assurance. This position includes formulating and sustaining calibration protocols, evaluating measurement data, and aiding in the adoption of advanced measurement technologies. The ideal applicant will possess a comprehensive understanding of metrology concepts, statistical analysis, and quality standards to facilitate ongoing improvements and ensure product conformity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize equipment validity assessments and conduct calibrations as needed to maintain compliance with established tolerances and specifications.
• Streamline the current verification process and methodology to minimize checking time. 
• Innovatively design and suggest a new verification method that consolidates or simplifies checking steps while delivering accurate results in line with product specifications.
• Address user inquiries and project requirements for equipment to meet the verification needs of the company’s products. 
• Minimize waste and develop a strategy for storing essential gauges, accessories, and other small verification tools. 
• Establish appropriate usage procedures for all equipment to extend its operational lifespan. 
• Implement a new purchasing workflow and carry out equipment acceptance testing. 
• Draft a preventive maintenance checklist and adhere to the schedule for necessary tasks. 
• Develop work instructions and delegate responsibilities to technicians. 
• Verify the technicians' output and identify potential future issues. 
• Document and track equipment performance metrics, standard operating procedures (SOPs), analyze failure causes and recovery rates, and compile labor utilization reports to assess planned versus unplanned maintenance for improved operational efficiency.
• Manage equipment inventory, ensuring the availability of backup parts and spares to maintain seamless operations during downtime.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Measurement Science, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• This position requires the ability to communicate in Mandarin to interact with Mandarin speaking clients and suppliers.
• Familiarity with measurement standards and the International System of Units (SI).
• Expertise in calibration methods and equipment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and precision.
• Understanding of Quality Control and Assurance practices.
• Strong communication capabilities.
• Recent graduates with relevant technical education or internship experience may be considered.
