About Our Client

MOBA develops high-tech equipment for the egg industry. Based in Petaling Jaya, MOBA Asia supports customers across the region with equipment installation, maintenance and technical service.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Service Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, learning new systems and working with customers across Asia.

What you will do

• Take ownership of equipment installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades following product training and competency assessment.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, electromechanical and control-system faults, coordinating specialist support when needed.
• Plan service assignments, including technical preparation, tools, spare parts and coordination with customers and service coordinators.
• Carry out equipment inspections, testing and start-up, and complete customerhandover.
• Provide customers with practical instruction on equipment operation, cleaning, maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate with regional and headquarters technical teams to resolve complex issues and recommend equipment improvements.
• Complete clear service and installation reports, checklists, time records, expense claims and spare-parts records.
• Ensure technical documents and relevant software backups are stored in the designated company systems.
• Guide junior engineers and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
• Follow company and customer-site health and safety procedures.

Job Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering is mandatory. A qualification in Mechanical Engineering alone does not meet the job specification for this position.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial machinery, equipment servicing or field service.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic and control-system faults and interpret electrical diagrams.
• Practical experience with PLC-controlled machinery, industrial automation or PC-based equipment.
• Ability to manage service assignments independently and communicate clearly with customers.
• Good spoken and written English for technical discussions, customer instruction and reporting.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Asia, including overseas and short-notice assignments, and work flexible hours when required.
• Willingness to work in egg production, packing and poultry environments.
• A valid driving licence.
• Strong ownership, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in egg processing, packing or poultry equipment is an advantage.
