Job Description
Key responsibilities
·Work closely with the team to plan and create various print and electronic communication items (publications, posters, signage, electronic displays, corporate gifts and digital graphics for web, email, and social, etc.)
·Assist with the design and content migration of IJM’s intranet portal to a Google Sites platform. Project management/administrative: Actively participate in project meetings from inception to delivery to understand deliverables, audience, timing, expected outcomes and goals.
·Research create, develop and update content on IJM’s corporate website, social media and Workplace by Facebook platforms as well as other communications materials as and when required
·Event management: Support and manage corporate events, CSR initiatives, meetings and social activities
·Administrative and coordination: Provide overall administrative support (process payments, screen phone calls, updating of databases and maintain filing system) in helping the department operate as efficiently and effectively as possible
Job Requirements
It is essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, is social media savvy, demonstrate creative thinking, and have a strong interest in online communication and design.
Additional skills and experience include the following:
·Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in creative qualifications such as advertising, graphic design, 3-D design, illustration or multimedia technology. Candidates pursuing a degree in communications with design skills will also be considered.
·Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite design programmes (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.), with experience designing for print and web
·A strong interest in electronic communication (design and launch of email marketing campaigns, mobile apps, content management systems, HTML, etc.)
·In-depth understanding of social media, digital and visual communication, infographics, and multimedia
·Familiarity with the Google (sites, groups, apps, etc.), Drupal or WordPress preferred
·Proficient use of MS Office applications
·Good command of English and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
·Be creative with a good eye for design, layout and detail
·Strong planning and coordination skills with good time management
·Organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
