REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or any related field.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant working experience is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Certification in Site Safety Supervisor training is an added advantage.
  • Must be able to work in shifts and adapt to changes in the operational schedule.
  • Good communication skills in English and Malay, both oral and written.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The role is to support the various functions and responsibilities of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Department including:

1. Safety Administration & Coordination

  • Conduct daily safety induction for stakeholder applying for Port Pass.
  • Maintain proper records of HSE inspection checklists and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit daily HSE Observation Reports.
  • Update management on HSE matters during departmental meetings.

2. Inspection & Monitoring

  • Conduct daily workplace inspections across operational areas and verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Perform random inspections of vehicles, machinery, ambulances, and equipment.
  • Perform vessel crane inspections.
  • Conduct Permit to Work (PTW) inspections and related compliance checks.

3. Meetings & Engagement

  • Participate in Kick-Off Meetings prior to project commencement.
  • Attend and conduct Toolbox Meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide support during KP Contractor Site Visits and Management Walkabouts.

4. Incident & Emergency Response

  • Respond to workplace incidents and conduct preliminary investigations, including site assessments, evidence collection, and reporting.
  • Act as a first responder by executing emergency response procedures and coordinating the transfer of injured persons to medical facilities.
