Role Overview:

We are seeking an IoT R&D Engineer to drive the research, design, and development of innovative IoT solutions. This role focuses on product development, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap, lifecycle, and future advancements in IoT technology. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a passion for innovation, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring next generation IoT products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the research and development of new IoT products, ensuring alignment with the company’s product roadmap and strategic goals.
2. Design, prototype, and test IoT hardware and software solutions to improve product performance, efficiency, and scalability.
3. Collaborate with product management to define product features, technical specifications, and development timelines.
4. Conduct feasibility studies, proof-of-concept development, and evaluation of emerging IoT technologies to enhance the product portfolio.
5. Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept, design, prototyping, testing, deployment, and optimization.
6. Drive continuous product improvements based on data analysis, market feedback, and technological advancements.
7. Ensure that IoT solutions are secure, reliable, and comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
8. Document technical designs, processes, and results for internal knowledge sharing and project tracking.
9. Support the handover of products to production teams, ensuring a smooth transition from development to implementation.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
2. At least 1 year of experience in hardware design, product development, and the integration of mechanical and electronic components.
3. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or equivalent tools to develop technical drawings and product designs.
4. Strong knowledge of IoT hardware components, including sensors, circuit boards, and communication modules.
5. Experience in prototyping, testing, and validating new devices to ensure functionality, durability, and performance.
6. Ability to analyse and integrate different elements of a product, including mechanical structures, electrical systems, and IoT devices.
7. Hands-on experience with IoT projects, including hardware assembly, device implementation, and troubleshooting, is an advantage.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design and integration challenges effectively.
