The In Real Life platform is seeking a passionate visual storyteller to join our team. We're looking for someone who is deeply motivated to uncover the voices of everyday Malaysians and transform their personal journeys into compelling human-interest videos.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Film quality footages of authentic interviews and interactions using professional or mobile equipment.
- Edit short-form videos (30–90 seconds) for social platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Craft emotional narratives that is able to strongly resonate with viewers.
- Independently handle everything from initiating conversations to filming, and editing final videos.
Job Requirements
- Passionate about human stories: You love talking to strangers and can start conversations easily.
- Empathetic storyteller: Knowing how to ask the right questions and create safe spaces for people to open up.
- Dual or tri-lingual: Must be native in the English language and is able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia, any Chinese dialect or both!
- High initiative and resourceful: Comfortable working independently and is able to solve issues easily.
- Skilled in video: Proficient in shooting and editing quality content.
