Logistics Manager (Manufacturing)

Intelek Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established multinational manufacturing company with a strong global presence. Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead its end-to-end manufacturing logistics and supply chain operations at its Port Klang facility.

This is a strategic leadership role for an accomplished logistics professional with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidates without manufacturing logistics experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing logistics operations, including production planning, material planning, purchasing, warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and customer deliveries.
• Ensure production materials are available to support manufacturing schedules while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
• Drive On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance and achieve inventory targets.
• Manage production planning to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity.
• Oversee procurement of raw materials and manage supplier performance to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Lead warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, stock control, and material movements.
• Manage import/export operations, customs compliance, bonded warehouse, SST, and transportation activities.
• Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, rejected, and scrap materials while improving inventory turnover and reducing working capital.
• Develop logistics budgets, long-term operational plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive LEAN Manufacturing, ISO, IATF, and operational excellence projects.
• Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team while fostering a strong Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) culture.
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, Maintenance, and Sales teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements

 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5- 6 years of experience in manufacturing logistics or supply chain within a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
• Manufacturing logistics experience is mandatory. Applications from candidates without manufacturing industry experience will not be considered.

• Hands-on experience using SAP ERP.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, production planning, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with ISO, IATF, LEAN Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
