Product and Application Development Engineer

Location: Port Klang, Selangor

Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: RM7,000 – RM9,000 per month

Intelek Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company seeking an experienced Product & Application Development Engineer to drive new product development and enhance existing product solutions.

The successful candidate will lead technical activities involving product formulation, laboratory development, product testing, scale-up support, and technical collaboration with internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new product formulations, innovation solutions, and colour matching at laboratory scale
• Conduct product performance verification and prepare technical specifications
• Support manufacturing scale-up and ensure smooth product handover to production
• Coordinate laboratory activities and maintain development quality
• Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams
• Manage technical documentation including DQP, PLM, SAP, SDS, and TDS
• Provide technical support, product recommendations, and training to internal teams and customers
• Support raw material evaluation and supplier recommendations
• Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer, Material Science, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in plastic compounding and plastic testing
• Strong knowledge of polymer formulation is mandatory
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
