Bring order to complex supply chains while working with us at Inventec Performance Chemicals South East Asia Sdn. Bhd. We are a manufacturing team that makes specialty chemical components for regional customers, and we value clear processes, safe handling, and timely delivery.

Role purpose

As a builder, you will design and improve logistics workflows that scale our regional operations. You will set up smoother inbound and outbound flows, tighten vendor coordination, and help our factories run without stock headaches.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Plan and schedule shipments to meet production timelines and customer delivery windows.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and quality teams to prioritise urgent orders and avoid delays.
  • Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery and lead time, and drive corrective actions when targets slip.
  • Prepare weekly logistics reports for management with clear recommended actions.

Procurement & Vendor Relations

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders, including rate negotiations and SLA reviews.
  • Raise and track purchase orders for transportation and customs services to ensure timely processing.
  • Resolve claims or discrepancies with carriers and vendors to protect company costs and reputation.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and recommend changes to improve service or reduce cost.

Inventory & Operations

  • Maintain accurate stock records and cycle counts to prevent production interruption.
  • Oversee goods receipt, storage allocation, and dispatch procedures to keep the warehouse efficient and safe.
  • Manage shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork for both domestic and cross-border shipments.
  • Implement small-process improvements to reduce lead time and inventory carrying costs.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of logistics, supply chain, or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record handling freight coordination, vendor management, and inventory control.
  • Experience with cross-border shipments and working with freight forwarders and customs agents.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong skills in Logistics Management, Purchasing, Procurement, and Negotiation.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and spreadsheets, with ability to extract and present logistics metrics.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, export/import documentation, and basic customs clearance procedures.
  • Familiarity with warehouse practices including cycle counts, FIFO, and stock reconciliation.

Soft Skills & Qualities

  • Clear communicator who can coordinate across teams and external partners with confidence.
  • Problem solver who applies practical steps to fix process bottlenecks and prevent repeats.
