ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Video Editor is responsible for producing high-quality, cinematic, and engaging video content for the ISA ISARB YouTube channel and company projects. This role requires strong storytelling skills, fast editing speed, leadership ability, and mastery of YouTube-style editing. This position plays a key role in shaping the brand’s visual identity, ensuring every video meets professional standards, and training/mentoring junior editors in the team.

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

• Edit full-length YouTube videos (10–30 minutes) with strong pacing, storytelling, and audience retention strategies.
• Ensure cinematic grading, clean audio, smooth transitions, and professional finishing.
• Convert raw footage into compelling narratives aligned with ISA ISARB’s brand style.
• Create motion graphics, titles, and visual effects as needed
• Manage sound design: background music, SFX, voice balancing.
   

2. Creative Storytelling

• Build engaging story arcs, including hooks, tension, climaxes, and payoff.
• Propose creative angles, visual ideas, and improvements.
• Work closely with directors and production team to refine story direction.
   

3. Quality Control & Standards

• Ensure all videos meet internal quality guidelines before publishing.
• Double-check cuts, colour grade, audio levels, subtitles, and overall consistency.
• Set and maintain editing standards and best practices across the team.
   

4. Workflow & Speed

• Deliver editing projects within tight deadlines (1–3 days per video).
• Organize project files, footage, and backups with proper file-management SOP.
• Maintain efficient workflow using advanced shortcuts, presets, templates.
   

5. Collaboration & Leadership

• Mentor and guide junior editors in technique, pacing, and storytelling.
• Work with production crew, content strategists, and talent.
• Provide constructive creative feedback and participate actively in team discussions.
• Communicate problems early and ensure smooth workflow from shoot to final export.
   

6. Innovation & Trend Awareness

• Keep updated with global YouTube editing trends (e.g., MrBeast, Indonesian cinematic vlog styles, viral TikTok pacing).
• Continuously suggest new creative approaches, effects, transitions, and editing styles.
• Assist with vertical content editing (Shorts/TikTok/Reels) when needed.

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

• Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro (mandatory).
• Strong skills in After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop.
• Strong sense of colour grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
• Experience editing 4K multi-camera setups.
   

Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years professional editing experience, ideally in YouTube content, filmmaking, or digital production.
• Proven portfolio showcasing storytelling, cinematic cuts, and engaging editing.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small editing team (advantageous).
