Job Description

 Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Business Operations Manager, the Account Executive will play a key role in supporting both the Group Accountant and Business Operations Manager in overseeing the daily functions of the accounts and finance department. This includes management reporting, financial analysis, statutory compliance. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and the smooth running of finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Reporting

  • Assist and collaborate with the Business Operations team and Business Owner in monthly and yearly closing activities.
  • Prepare and review accounting entries, general ledger (GL) reports, and reconciliations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating key issues or negative trends to management.

Finance Daily Operations

  • Oversee daily finance operations, with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Support the Business Operations Manager in tracking and reviewing AP payments and AR collections.
  • Recommend and help implement improvements to finance processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Statutory Reporting & Compliance

  • Support the Group Accountant and Business Operations team in statutory audit, tax submissions, and compliance matters.
  • Manage ad hoc audits, including those related to tax and customs.
  • Monitor compliance with local financial regulations and provide updates to management on key regulatory changes.

Financial Analysis & Budgeting

  • Assist in preparing and updating financial forecasts, including AR/AP projections and cash flow reporting.

Job Requirements

  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts or operations, management reporting, or financial compliance.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly.
  • Proactive attitude with the initiative to improve processes and deliver tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Familiarity with E-invoicing regulations and transfer pricing is an added advantage
