Key Responsibilities
Testing & Calibration
*Perform testing, calibration, and verification of smart meters in accordance with national and international standards.
*Ensure accuracy, reliability, and traceability of all measurement results.
*Prepare and maintain calibration certificates and testing reports.
Laboratory Operations
*Manage laboratory equipment, tools, and measuring instruments.
*Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements for calibration and testing laboratories.
*Implement and maintain laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
Quality & Compliance
*Support product certification and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SIRIM, ST, TNB project specifications).
*Conduct root cause analysis on non-conforming results and recommend corrective actions.
*Ensure test results meet customer and industry quality standards.
Technical Support & Reporting
*Provide technical support to production, QC, and engineering teams on metering issues.
*Document testing methodologies, results, and findings for management review.
*Prepare technical reports and present findings to project teams and external stakeholders when required.
Continuous Improvement
*Participate in research and development activities related to smart metering technology.
*Recommend improvements to testing methods, tools, and processes.
*Stay updated on new standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
*Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
*3–5 years’ experience in laboratory testing, calibration, or quality assurance (preferably in smart metering, utilities, or electrical products).
*Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
*Knowledge of smart meter functionality, communication protocols (e.g., DLMS/COSEM), and electrical testing standards.
Experiance for manpower planning, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory management
