 Job Description
The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth by providing technical expertise, solution-based selling, and strong customer engagement. This role requires a solid understanding of electrical products and systems, including feeder pillars, Black Box 160A/400A, neutral links, NH fuse links, LV clamps, KWh meters, panels, and related equipment. The Sales Engineer will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate technical proposals, quotations, and successful project execution.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
Identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and project opportunities.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, technical proposals, and product demonstrations.
 
2. Technical Expertise & Application
Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer needs.
Understand product specifications, MS/IEC standards, drawings, and application requirements.
Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and configuration.
 
3. Quotation & Proposal Management
Prepare quotations, tender submissions, costing sheets, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
Ensure accuracy of pricing, product specifications, and project requirements.
Follow up closely on submitted quotations and negotiate to secure orders.

4. Customer Support & After-Sales Service
Handle customer inquiries, provide troubleshooting support, and coordinate solutions with Technical/Production teams.
Ensure timely delivery, installation support (when required), and customer satisfaction.
Resolve issues promptly to maintain positive client relationships.
 
5. Project Coordination
Support project execution by coordinating with internal teams (Technical, Production, Warehouse).
Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and project progress.
Ensure documentation, drawings, and technical files are complete and accurate.
 
6. Reporting & Administration
Maintain updated sales records, pipelines, and customer activity reports.
Participate in weekly/monthly sales meetings and provide accurate sales forecasts.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
 
Minimum 1–3 years experience in technical sales (preferably electrical industry).
 
Fresh graduates with strong technical interest are encouraged to apply.
 
Technical Skills
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, panels, feeder pillars, RMU, LV/HV components, and metering products.
 
Ability to read technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and interpret specifications.
 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
Sales & Communication Skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
 
Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
 
Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships.
 
Personal Attributes
Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
 
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks.
 
Willing to travel to customer sites, factories, and project locations.
 
Additional Requirements
Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
 
Able to start immediately or within short notice is an advantage.
