Job Description

Role Overview:

Fortinet is growing and we are expanding our APAC technical support teams in APAC Technical Assistance Centre, we are looking for strong technical support engineers at all levels. We require candidates with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information and skillfully develop alternative solutions for customers.

Responsibilities:

• To provide direct technical support via the phone and ticketing system to our customers and partners throughout the APAC Region.
• Analysis, technical investigation, and resolution of reported problems involving the following products: FortiWeb, FortiADC, and FortiDDoS.
• Reproduction of customer environments on lab equipment.
• Collect data and traces for investigation or to escalate the issue to the next level.
• Running real-time troubleshooting sessions with partners/customers.
• Reporting Software/Hardware related issues to R&D department.
• Manage technical cases and control the right expectation until the closure of the cases.
• Take initiative and ownership of the problem to drive results.
• Develop core competency in Fortinet product line and technologies.

Requirements:

• 5 years or more of previous experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of English (written and spoken) and other languages is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of Web Application Firewall and Application Load Balancing concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of OSI model and TCP/IP protocol.
• In-depth knowledge of HTTP and DNS protocol.
• Basic knowledge of regular expressions.
• Advanced knowledge about security technologies such as SSL/TLS and PKI.
• Administrative knowledge of Windows, Unix, or Linux.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Relational Database knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure with moderate supervision.
• Positive, communicative, and customer-oriented attitude.
• Python or Bash shell scripting language knowledge.
• Familiarity with Rest API.
• Experience in SOC is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of OWASP and Web application vulnerability.
