About Our Client

Our client is a publicly listed company with diverse portfolio of businesses. This is newly created role within the organization to take the helm of the Construction business unit and drive its growth and success within their well established and diversified organization.

Job Description

• Lead and manage the various departments within the company including project management, engineering, procurement, business development and finance
• Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts and participate in tenders
• P&L management of the business unit
• Oversee the progress of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope and to the required standards
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with the projects, including safety concerns, compliance and financial risks
• Developing and executing long term strategies for company growth, including expansion into new markets or diversification of services

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to inspire and guide teams towards a shared vision, an individual with a forward thinking approach, capable of developing and executing long term strategics to drive the company's success. The ideal candidate should also possess;

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant fields
• Extensive experience in construction management
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale industrial construction projects
• P&L management
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem solving skills
