Job Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for transitioning test on new products from Pilot to Manufacturing, resolving any manufacturing floor test issue, improving product quality, and reducing the test cycle time. The ideal candidate is someone with field service engineering experience at a semiconductor fab, who is very familiar with capital equipment and the issues that typically come up.

Other Job Responsibilities

• Experience with vacuum, pressure, Radio Frequency (RF) Power delivery and gas delivery systems
• Works cross functionally with design engineering and the pilot group for new product development
• Ensures PDR / NSR deliverables are in place including test fixtures, test procedures, test specifications, and control charts
• Conducts validation on all new test software and fixtures
• Has a working knowledge of SAP functions for manufacturing
• Defines, designs, documents, builds, calibrates, troubleshoots, and supports all manufacturing test fixtures
• Software skills to create / modify manufacturing’s test scripts
• Improves product quality through test first pass yield and trend data. Analyzes factory non-conformances and field escalations for root cause and corrective action
• Resolves test issues cross functionally with Suppliers, Supplier Engineering, Pilot Manufacturing, and Design Engineering
• Presentation skills to present test fixture designs, test processes or spec changes at engineering design reviews
• Defines and implements metrics to lead test process improvements

Minimum Qualifications

• BS / MS in Electrical Engineering
• More than 5 years applicable experience
• Technical writing skills to communicate and document designs and procedures
• Verbal communication skills to discuss technical issues with Suppliers, Supplier Engineering, Pilot Manufacturing, and Design Engineering
• Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal technical guidance

Preferred Qualifications

Good knowledgeable in Deposition and Semiconductor capital equipment
