Job Description

     
  • Safely operate and drive lorries to transport goods and materials to various destinations according to schedule and delivery routes.
  •  
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels, and report any mechanical issues or defects.
  •  
  • Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently, ensuring that goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
  •  
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  •  
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details, completing all necessary paperwork and electronic records.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.

  • Provide excellent customer service by being punctual, courteous, and professional during deliveries and interactions.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
     
  • Valid GDL driving license with a clean driving record.
  •  
  • Proven experience as a Lorry Driver or in a similar role, preferably with experience in transporting goods within Malaysia.
  •  
  • Familiarity with traffic laws, road regulations, and safety procedures in Malaysia.
  •  
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  •  
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  •  
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices for loading, securing, and unloading cargo.
  •  
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  •  
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, to meet delivery schedules.
  •  
  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to punctuality and job completion.
  •
