Note: This is a remote work position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Cloud Engineer you will be required to:

• Administer cloud-based infrastructure deployment which includes tasks such as provisioning/de-provisioning of resources, user administration, monitoring computing resource utilization, backup/restore and incident management.
• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective/preventive actions during and after an incident. Fix and document problems and implement preventive measures.
• Support audit and infrastructure/network security scans, disaster recovery and security related drills.
• Perform routine maintenance check, patches, updates and log review.
• Collaborate with various teams to support customer requirements.
• Participate in all aspects of the cloud lifecycle management, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and deployment.
• This position requires periodic system administration outside normal business hours.
• Support new technology implementation.

Job Requirements

 REQUIRED SKILLS

• B.S degree in Computer Science or relevant field of study.
• Knowledge of Linux, web applications, database systems, cloud platforms, scripting (Bash, Python), IaC tools.
• Working understanding of network, storage, DevOps, security and backup/disaster recovery, on cloud and on-premise environments.
• Good understanding of change and configuration management.

Optional, but Highly Desirable Experience

• Knowledge in AWS, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation tools (Ansible/Rundeck) is a plus.
