Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Manager to lead our cloud services and drive strategic initiatives across our infrastructure portfolio. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to deliver reliable, scalable cloud services while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and maintain comprehensive strategy for cloud infrastructure services.
• Create long-term strategic plans for cloud infrastructure and operations.
• Make strategic decisions about service offerings and technology investments.
• Drive innovation in cloud infrastructure and operational excellence.
• Develop strategic partnerships that enhance organizational capabilities.

Service Management & Operations

• Establish and maintain governance structures for cloud processes and compliance.
• Develop service strategy and maintain service portfolio management.
• Create and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for cloud services.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with senior leadership, business units, and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage operational risks.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Oversee organizational process improvement programs and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.
• Ensure improvement initiatives align with business objectives and priorities.
• Report on improvement program results and business value to senior leadership.
• Lead organizational transformation initiatives and manage change resistance.

Team & Business Leadership

• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while building organizational capabilities.
• Develop and manage budgets for cloud infrastructure and improvement initiatives.
• Establish performance management systems and accountability frameworks.
• Create business cases for major investments and improvement initiatives.
• Lead change management initiatives and overcome organizational resistance.

Technical Oversight

• Define and maintain cloud infrastructure architecture standards and guidelines.
• Manage relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors.
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks in cloud infrastructure.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and methodologies that improve capabilities.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Cloud Platforms: Expert-level knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar automation tools.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Networking: Deep understanding of cloud networking, security, and connectivity.
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Security: Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

Process & Methodology Expertise

• Service Management: Understanding of IT service management principles and best practices.
• Process Improvement: Experience with structured process improvement methodologies.
• Change Management: Proven experience in organizational change management.
• Quality Management: Experience implementing quality control and improvement processes.

Leadership & Business Skills

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
• Team Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing technical teams (10+ people).
• Budget Management: Experience managing budgets.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills with C-level executives.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations and financial management.

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 10+ years in cloud infrastructure with 5+ years in management roles.
• Industry Experience: Experience in enterprise-scale cloud deployments.
• Vendor Relations: Experience managing relationships with major cloud providers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Certifications: Cloud architect-level certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional).
• Automation: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Compliance: Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.
• Multi-Cloud: Experience managing multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Disaster Recovery: Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies.
