About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join JoonHee Micron Sdn Bhd in Port Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the engineering and project management sectors. As a Business Development Executive, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, expanding our market presence, and building strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders. This role requires someone who can work autonomously whilst also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious business objectives.

What you'll be doing

1. Maintain and manage existing customer accounts, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
2. Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for both metal and plastic components.
3. Coordinate with internal departments (costing, engineering, logistics) to validate quotation feasibility and pricing.
4. Attend customer meetings for commercial discussions, new RFQ briefings, and ongoing follow-ups.
5. Oversee the commercial aspects of new projects from quotation approval through to the first mass production (MP) delivery.
6. Source and evaluate supplier quotations for new projects to ensure cost competitiveness.

Job Requirements

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline
2. 2-4 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within engineering or project management sectors
3. Strong understanding of project management principles and engineering industry practices
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
5. Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and develop actionable business strategies
6. Strong negotiation and contract management experience
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
8. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and business development goal
9. Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmen
11. Fluency in English; additional language skills (Malay, Mandarin) are advantageous
