Job Description

JCI is hiring an IT Coordinator based at the JCI Regional Office in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. The role supports the day-to-day operational health of JCI's digital platforms, with primary focus on the JCI Virtual Community (JVC). The IT Coordinator acts as first-line support for platform quality assurance, helpdesk coordination, project follow-up, and stakeholder feedback, coordinating day-to-day with the Malaysia-based JVC Manager and reporting to the IT Director.


Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • JVC Platform Monitoring & Quality Assurance
    • Conduct regular functional testing of JVC platform modules (registration, courses, dashboard, notifications, etc.) to identify bugs, broken links, or usability issues.
    • Log identified issues clearly in the bug-tracking system (e.g., GitHub) with reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity notes.
    • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles for new releases and features ahead of rollout.
    • Track resolution status of reported issues and flag recurring or unresolved problems to the JVC Manager.
  • Helpdesk & Member Support
    • Assist in responding to JCI Helpdesk (e.g., Freshdesk) tickets related to IT and platform issues, following established response templates and escalation paths.
    • Triage incoming tickets by urgency and category, resolving straightforward issues independently and escalating complex ones.
    • Maintain accurate ticket documentation and follow up with members/National Organizations until resolution.
  • IT Project Coordination & Follow-Up
    • Support ongoing IT projects (e.g., LMS integration, Impact Report system, Broadcast Module rollouts) by tracking action items, deadlines, and deliverables.
    • Follow up with internal stakeholders and external vendors on outstanding tasks to ensure project timelines stay on track.
    • Help prepare and organize documentation, meeting notes, and status updates for project stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Feedback Collection
    • Gather feedback on JVC features and IT services from National Organizations, staff, and other stakeholders through surveys, calls, or written channels.
    • Organize and summarize feedback into structured reports to support prioritization discussions with the IT Director and Manager.
    • Assist in tracking feature requests and common pain points over time.
  • General Office & IT Support (Limited Scope)
    • Provide basic first-line IT support for WHQ office staff (hardware setup, account access issues, basic troubleshooting).
    • Escalate more complex infrastructure, network, or security issues to the IT Director or relevant vendor.
    • Assist with maintaining IT asset records and basic office IT documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience
    • 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong aptitude and a proactive attitude are encouraged to apply.
    • Prior exposure to helpdesk/ticketing systems, QA/testing, or platform support is an advantage but not required.
  • Skills
    • Basic understanding of web platforms, ticketing systems, and bug-tracking tools (e.g., GitHub, Freshdesk, or similar).
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
    • Clear written and verbal communication in English; Mandarin/Chinese proficiency is a plus.
    • Basic troubleshooting knowledge for common hardware/software/network issues.
  • Attributes
    • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple small tasks concurrently.
    • Comfortable working across two reporting lines and across time zones.
    • Interest in nonprofit/membership organization technology is a plus.
