Discovering the Position for You
This isn’t your average L&D role. Our Learning & Development business unit known as Heroes Training Academy (HTA) is looking for a Learning & Development Associate to push boundaries, rethink possibilities, and make a lasting impact. If you thrive on transforming learning into an experience and have the heart for growing heroes, we’d love to meet you! 

What You’ll Be Doing:   

To fulfill your purpose, your role will require you to be:

1) Trailblazing the Onboarding Journey: Co-champion and refine the onboarding experience that integrates new hires into our culture seamlessly, reducing time-to-productivity.

2) Creating Content: Utilise various instructional design methods and techniques to craft training modules and materials to meet the organisation’s needs, including but not limited to:

• Online/automated training, self-learning.
• Simulation/scenario-based training that reflects and replicates complex challenges in software development, project delivery, and customer interaction.
• Bite-sized content, short-form videos, quick articles, and infographics.

3) Collaborating for Impact: Partner with leaders to address current and future skills gaps/needs analysis, ensuring learning solutions align with business growth and innovation.

4) Measuring Success: Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programmes using performance metrics and data, continually enhancing their impact.

As a key member of HTA, your career growth will not be limited to the responsibilities above. There are also additional L&D growth opportunities which include:

Job Requirements

Is It You We’re Looking For?

These points are a must! 

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training, Psychology, or related courses.
• You are an excellent communicator. You have been told that you are quick to understand the needs of customers, stakeholders and/or team members, and able to articulate those needs in a clear and concise manner - verbally and written (English language is essential).
• You display strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage different audiences (we’re a fun & diverse bunch!). 
• You are able to demonstrate good project management skills in your previous roles. Your colleagues find you reliable in how you manage time, prioritize work, and deliver according to deadlines while not compromising accuracy and detail.
• You are adept in utilising Microsoft Office Suite, mainly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and as a bonus, Visio.
• You are dynamic with excellent interpersonal, conceptual thinking, inductive reasoning, and analytical skills. We would like to grow you into an effective L&D practitioner that troubleshoots work performance issues within units and proceeds to train towards improvement!
• You display an open attitude towards learning something new, embracing such opportunities and keen to put what you have learnt into practice.
• You demonstrate high collaborative skills with proven experience working within a team (e.g. coordinated events with a group of people, involved with societies at college/university, and participated in team sports events).
• You have initiative and you’re a self-starter. This means you are able to proactively direct your efforts in understanding the situation and then towards the completion of a goal without the need for external catalysts or step-by-step managing by seniors.
• You are committed to the job at hand. This means you are reliable and where necessary, will go the extra mile if by doing so will get things done.
• You are flexible and adaptive. This means you adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, embracing complexity and change positively.
• You have an open attitude, willing to listen to feedback and apply the feedback in a constructive manner so as to enhance the value of a team.
• You have good attention to detail, checking your work before submitting it to ensure that what is documented is accurate and without error. 

These points aren’t a must, but they will definitely help you hit the ground running! You are someone who:

• Is familiar with graphic and video editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro etc.
• Bonus! A strong knowledge of instructional design and that will enable contribution of value in creating structured learning programmes; at least 2 years of working experience in a related field.
• Bonus! Committed to academic research and understanding the business and market trends of application software vendor.
