About the Role
K&T Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Programmer to lead CNC programming and toolpath optimization for our precision machining operations in Johor Bahru.
This role is critical to translating engineering drawings into efficient, high-quality production programs across our multi-axis machining centers, working in both metals and plastics manufacturing.
Applications will be considered based on overall fit and hiring decisions are final.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (Mastercam or other compatible programs) for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and materials properties to determine optimal machining strategies
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and fixturing methods to maximize efficiency and part quality
- Conduct first-article program verification and troubleshoot programs on the shop floor
- Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to support Service Delivery (Quotation, Lead-time etc)
- Maintain and improve program libraries, post-processors, and machining standards
- Mentor and train junior programmers and machinists on CAM upskilling and best practices
- Support relevant compliance documentation where CAM output ties to customs/production records
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree or Recognised Professional Certification in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' CAM programming experience in precision machining metals and/or plastics especially in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience with Electronics, Automation, Semiconductor and Oil&Gas applications are strong advantages
- Proficiency in Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar CAM systems; working knowledge of Fanuc CNC controllers
- Strong technical drawing interpretation skills — GD&T fluency is a must
- Experience with 5-axis programming is a strong advantage
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred, to support liaison with Mandarin-speaking counterparts
- Strong Attention to Details, Precision and Accuracy
