We’re looking for a creative, energetic and social-media-savvy Content Creator & Social Media Executive to join KAYS+KINS.

Your main focus will be creating engaging, relatable and beautiful short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, while helping us continuously bring fresh ideas to the KAYS+KINS brand. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just wait for a content brief — you should enjoy spotting trends, brainstorming ideas and turning everyday brand and product moments into content people want to watch.

This is a hands-on content role, so you’ll be shooting regularly at our office, stores and other locations when required

The core of this role is to build our short-form content engine: you will plan content around collections, campaigns and retail activity, film regularly at our office and stores with phone or camera, and produce finished edits ready to publish. You will spot and adapt TikTok trends, create product-led, lifestyle, educational and behind-the-scenes formats, write hooks and captions in the Kays+Kins voice, and work closely with the founder and marketing team to turn ideas into a consistent content calendar. You will also direct simple shoots with colleagues, models or parents, review performance to identify what to scale, and support content during events, pop-ups and launches.

Responsibilities

Content Production

• Plan and produce short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels that reflect collections, campaigns and in-store moments, shooting regularly at the office and stores.
• Film with phone or camera and deliver polished edits ready to publish, including captions and on-screen text in our brand voice.
• Direct simple shoots with colleagues, models or parents and manage basic asset organisation for repurposing across channels.
• Support on-site coverage for events, pop-ups and launches with quick turnarounds for reactive posts.

Strategy & Performance

• Spot and adapt TikTok trends, propose fresh formats and keep a content calendar aligned to marketing and retail activity.
• Use performance data to identify high-performing content, recommend what to scale, and iterate formats based on results.
• Write short, compelling hooks and captions that encourage views and engagement while maintaining a consistent Kays+Kins voice.
• Run regular content reviews with the marketing team and founder to prioritise ideas with the most business impact.

Collaboration & Growth

• Work closely with retail staff and marketing to surface product moments and convert them into authentic video concepts.
• Coach colleagues for on-camera confidence and brief talent for straightforward shoots when needed.
• Maintain a library of trend ideas, editing presets and caption hooks to speed production cycles.
• Experiment with editing tools and formats to evolve our short-form style over time.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Practical experience creating short-form social video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, preferably for e-commerce, retail, lifestyle or baby and kids brands.
• Hands-on experience filming and editing short videos, able to shoot with phone or camera and deliver final edits under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel between our office and retail stores for shoots and to support events and launches.
• Comfortable being behind the camera; appearing on-screen occasionally is a bonus.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Familiarity with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools, with a readiness to learn new workflows.
• Good understanding of TikTok trend mechanics, vertical storytelling, hooks and editing rhythms that stop scrolls.
• Basic ability to read social metrics like views, watch time and engagement and turn insights into creative changes.
• Organised file management and simple version control to support fast publishing cycles.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Creative instinct that naturally spots everyday moments and turns them into snackable stories.
• Independent, proactive approach with the ability to own briefs and execute in a fast-moving environment.
• Clear communicator who can brief talent and collaborate directly with the founder, retail staff and marketing.
• Curiosity to test edits, hooks and formats and to refine what works from performance feedback.
