Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation such as washing, peeling, cutting, portioning, and basic cooking tasks.
     
  • Prepare mise en place according to recipes, par levels, and production plans.
     
  • Store ingredients properly and label items according to FIFO and food safety requirements.
     
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked during service.
     
  • Assist senior kitchen staff with plating, garnishing, and basic cooking duties.
     
  • Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
     
  • Help monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages or wastage.
     
  • Ensure proper handling of raw and cooked foods to avoid cross-contamination.
     
  • Participate in opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
     
  • Learn kitchen SOPs, equipment handling, and safety procedures.
     

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM / vocational culinary training preferred.
     
  • Entry-level candidates welcome; prior kitchen experience is an advantage.
     
  • Willingness to learn and grow in kitchen operations.
     
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
     
  • Good attitude, discipline, and teamwork.
