At KEMM Advisory, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive to independently manage full-set accounts for a portfolio of SME clients. You will be involved in the complete accounting cycle, from reconciliations and adjustments to month-end closing, management accounts, and the preparation of audit and tax schedules.

• Base Salary: RM4,000 – RM5,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Handle full-set accounts for a diverse portfolio of SME clients.
• Daily Accounting Operations: Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and essential accounting adjustments.
• Closing & Reporting: Complete month-end and year-end closing, and prepare management accounts alongside supporting schedules.
• Audit & Tax Support: Prepare audit and tax schedules, liaising directly with auditors, tax teams, and other professionals when required.
• Data Integrity: Review accounting records and proactively follow up on incomplete or unusual transactions.
• Client Communication: Engage directly with clients regarding accounting matters and outstanding information.
• Tech Utilization: Leverage accounting software, digital tools, and automation to streamline workflows.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Diploma, Degree, or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, with the proven ability to independently handle full-set accounts up to management accounts.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, closing, and accounting adjustments.
• Soft Skills: Responsible, organized, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating directly with clients while managing multiple accounts and strict deadlines.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in an accounting firm or outsourced accounting practice.
• Experience handling SME portfolios, audit/tax schedules, or Malaysian e-Invoice requirements.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, AutoCount, SQL Accounting, or Million.
