Key responsibilities

  • The RDA Commercialization Specialist is crucial in ensuring successful scale-up and commercialization trials by delivering technical support and collaborating closely with stakeholders, including the Research Development and Application (RDA) team and the Integrated Operations Team.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for preparation, communication, coordination and gather relevant information of Scale-up, Commercialization & Improvement trials.
  • Record, validate and communicate all production data, production issues encountered, QA results after plant trials. Complete a brief pre-trial and post-trial checklist/report.
  • Identify the possible issues in a proactive manner communicating to the RDA and facilitates/trouble shoots challenges during NPI process and works directly with RDA, plant operations, QA, supply chain teams on timely resolution.
  • Determine the process flow / mixing steps and judge the operational feasibility of NPI products.
  • Test, evaluate and perform sensory on raw materials and finished product and provide approval on behalf of RDA recipe owner for low to medium complexity products.
  • Collect relevant RDA samples e.g shelf-life/analytical samples, customer samples and assist in shelf-life studies as needed by RDA Scientists.
  • Communication to RDA of any changes to current production lines/procedures and provide RDA technical support when required.
  • To manage, coordinate, operate and maintain the Pilot Plant equipment to fulfill RDA and customer needs across APMEA as required.
  • To manage, coordinate and fulfill the raw materials and finished products sample requests for RDA.
  • Gain a full understanding of the production process and procedures and being a process and technical expert in the assigned technology and expand knowledge across multiple Kerry Taste & Nutrition technologies.
  • Support attending trial run representing RDA at Kerry Tampoi and Kerry Pasir Gudang when required.
  • Assist in other tasks/projects related to MY & SG RDA as requested by Technical Support Centre Manager on ad hoc basis.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in any relevant field, preferably with science / technical background.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment in regulated industry and possess knowledge about production line and manufacturing processes, controls, and procedures.
  • Possesses the technical and functional skills necessary to fulfill the role’s requirements, including problem-solving abilities, and continually develops expertise.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willing to work flexible hours / weekends if and when required.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Team player, independent, change agent and self-starter.
