About the role

 

  • Work Location       : 1Powerhouse, PJ (5mins walk from MRT Bandar Utama)
  • Reporting To         :  Operation Finance Team Lead (Europe)
  • Working Hours      :  2PM – 11PM

 

This role is all about combining analytical prowess, process accuracy, and innovative problem-solving to drive cost efficiency and financial clarity. Ready to make an impact?

 

Key responsibilities

 

Product Costing Excellence, dive deep into the financial pulse of production sites with responsibilities including:

 

Process Order Closure:

 

  • Comprehensive PO Analysis: Scrutinize process orders to ensure accurate status, descriptions, and alignment of confirmed vs. delivered quantities.
  • Resolving TECO and COGI Errors: Investigate and address discrepancies in TECO status orders and identify Controlling Goods Issues (COGI) errors for smooth workflow.
  • Time and Cost Accuracy: Monitor and analyze planned, target, and actual labor/machine hours, flagging variances that exceed thresholds.
  • Variance Management: Detect and report significant cost variances, ensuring clear insights into financial performance.
  • Streamlined WIP Closure: Assign templates, calculate Work in Progress (WIP), and ensure all TECO process orders are settled and properly documented.

 

New Product Introduction (NPI) - Material Cost Mastery

 

  • Verify and Validate: Ensure pricing, BOM, recipes, and MRP settings are accurate and reasonable.
  • Cost Estimation & Pricing: Craft cost estimates and release finalized prices seamlessly through SAP.
  • Support Innovation: Play a pivotal role in tracking and distributing usage variances (DUV) for new products.

 

Distribution of Usage Variance (DUV) Analysis

 

  • Guideline Adherence: Identify process orders requiring DUV based on established thresholds.
  • Effortless Distribution: Manage variance distribution using SAP’s DUV cockpit, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a similar field. 
  • Professional Accountancy qualification (or currently pursuing) are highly encouraged.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance role, with exposure to product costing or material ledger processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a valuable advantage.
