As DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of various tech projects. These include site launches, web applications, and other tech projects.

We’re seeking a tech-savvy professional who understands how technology can help us achieve our business goals. The ideal candidate is methodical, has excellent time management skills, and is comfortable collaborating with both internal and external parties.

Ultimately, you’d be able to manage our projects’ digital lifecycle and deliver high-quality work on time.

What your day looks like:

• You’ll design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test & deployment including environment branching, hooks & approvals.
• You’ll lead weekly meetings with servicing team & clients to align priorities, timeline & risks and translate requirements into Jira epics with defined acceptance criteria.
• You’ll decompose change requests and bugs into micro-tasks across Frontend, Backend and Content Population, ensuring proper sequencing, dependency management and on-time delivery.
• You’ll oversee Git workflows, code reviews, branch management, PR reviews, tagging and release notes.
• You’ll perform daily server-side environment management, monitoring system resources, cronjobs, logs & performance metrics and create weekly operational reports covering availability, errors, deployments & cache performance.
• You’ll manage and optimize application components such as Symfony, Twig, Doctrine, and MySQL
• You’ll manage and maintain Redis & SOLR to ensure optimal performance, caching efficiency and indexing health.
• You’ll coordinate with QA team for post-deployment validations and smoke tests. 

Job Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

• Required: At minimum, a Diploma accreditation in Computer Science, Digital Marketing/Advertising, or relevant field.
• Required:
• Tooling: Jira, Git, CI/CD, Linux shell & common commands.
• Web stack: PHP 8+/Symfony, Composer, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, MySQL & Doctrine ORM
• Operations: Branching strategies, environment promotion, logs/metrics, backup/restore & release coordination.
• Caching/Search: VCL (Varnish), CDN concepts, Redis & SOLR.
• Communication: Clear client communication, crisp status reports, and facilitation across Frontend, Backend & Content Populator
• Good to Have:
• Experience configuring and adjusting Varnish (VCL) and CDN rules (cache keys, TTLs, bypass paths, header normalization).
• Experience with Docker/dev containers, Nginx/Apache tuning, SSO/OAuth, or basic security testing.
