Job Description

Job Summary:

The CCTV Monitoring & Support Assistant is responsible for overseeing live and recorded surveillance footage from all retail outlets and head office, ensuring security incidents are identified, logged, and escalated when necessary. The role also includes performing basic configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CCTV systems under guidance from IT or external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor live CCTV feeds from retail outlets on a scheduled basis.
  • Review recorded footage upon request or for incident investigation.
  • Report any suspicious activities, theft, policy violations, or technical issues.
  • Perform minor configuration tasks such as adjusting camera angles, updating IP settings, or replacing DVR hard drives (training provided).
  • Review and document all CCTV system issues across outlets (e.g., non-functioning units, playback errors, setup issues, blurry image quality).
  • Evaluate current camera angles at each outlet and propose necessary improvements for better coverage.
  •  Liaise with maintenance teams and vendors for camera maintenance or upgrades. 
  • Keep daily logs of monitoring activities and incident reports. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure footage is handled securely. 
  • Assist in periodic audits of camera functionality and footage storage.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • SPM/STPM/Diploma in IT, Security, or any related field (Diploma preferred).
  • Prior experience in surveillance or security monitoring is an advantage.
  •  Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, DVR/NVR, IP cameras, and networking (training provided).
  • Able to focus for extended periods and act quickly under pressure.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
