Barista — Kopenhagen Coffee

📍 Based in Bangsar / Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

As a Barista you are expected to help Kopenhagen Coffee promote coffee consumption by educating our customers; selling coffee, coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories and supplies, preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks while ensuring the café’s quality meets our standards. ​​

You will work closely alongside our Lead Trainer and your team of colleagues around you with our Coffee Roaster to create the best possible coffee experience for our customers. Your daily target would be to achieve a barista-service level and knowledge that exceeds our customers expectations.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to menu standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and making recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including equipment and workstations.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment in accordance with company guidelines.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
• Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and foster a sense of community.
• Attend training sessions to improve coffee knowledge and product offerings.

Job Requirements

 Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and espresso preparation is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• A passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about it.
