About the Role

We are looking for passionate and motivated interns to join our kitchen team. This internship provides hands-on experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, food safety and service execution within a fast-paced café environment. You will work closely with our culinary team and gain valuable industry experience while developing practical kitchen skills.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place according to recipes and operational requirements.
  • Support the kitchen team in preparing and plating menu items.
  • Ensure food quality, consistency and presentation standards are maintained.
  • Assist in portioning, packaging and storing food items properly.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and storage areas.
  • Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
  • Support stock rotation and inventory management following FIFO practices.
  • Ensure ingredients and supplies are adequately stocked during service.

Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of food products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.

Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings.
  • Assist with special projects, menu development preparations and operational initiatives when required.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and senior kitchen staff.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Able to commit to the internship period required by the educational institution.
