Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the Load Control Unit of Kris Business Hub (KBH), a Malaysia-based entity providing corporate and operational services in Kuala Lumpur.  

The Load Control Unit keeps each flight balanced, safe and compliant. The load control team decides how to distribute passengers, cargo and baggage, then runs weight-and-balance calculations to develop an accurate load plan. By optimising how weight is distributed across the aircraft, load control helps maximise fuel efficiency and aircraft performance while preventing overloading and maintaining the aircraft's structural integrity. 

Key responsibilities

As a load control officer, the successful candidate will be responsible to: 

• Perform the load control function for commercially operated flights accurately and timely. 
• Ensure all assigned flights are handled and loaded in full compliance with safety regulations and company requirements. 
• Contribute to a safety-based culture within load control operations. 
• Fully adhere to all relevant manuals, briefings, and operating procedures as per company and regulatory standards. 
• Issue and manage all required documentation for the complete flight handling process, including loading instructions and loadsheets. 
• Utilize the relevant IT tools and communicate efficiently with stakeholders involved in the flight handling process. 
• Understand specific requirements and flight regulations for each assigned flight. 
• Report any operational challenges, risks, or incidents proactively to the Duty Manager on shift. 
• Perform safe and high-quality handovers of flights to colleagues at the end of shift or as required. 
• Adhere strictly to assigned work schedules, shift patterns, and flight timelines. 

The successful candidate will undergo approximately 2 and a half months of training. The trainee must successfully complete the training program and competency assessments before being appointed as a Load Control Officer. 

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in any technical discipline 
• Prior experience in load control, and/or certifications in Weight & Balance and Dangerous Goods Regulations would be advantageous 
• Strong numerical and analytical skills 
• Critical and logical mindset with strong attention to details 
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment 
• Proficient in written and spoken English 
• This is a position that requires the successful candidate to work rotating shifts
