Position Title: Intern, IT Department (Desktop Support and IT Asset Management)

Work Location : KLGCC, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

Job Responsibilities 

1) Desktop Support :

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software on desktops and laptops
• ⁠Provide support for network connectivity, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Resolve technical issues reported by end-users, ensuring timely solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment, including software updates and patches.
• ⁠Document and track support tickets using the organization's ticketing system.
• Assist in the setup of new employee workstations, including system imaging and software installations.

IT Asset Management :

• Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware and software.
• ⁠Update and manage asset records (e.g., purchase details, warranty status, location, etc.).
• Assist in the tracking of assets from procurement to disposal.
• Participate in the disposal process for outdated or damaged equipment, ensuring data security and compliance with company policies.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in the preparation of reports on asset utilization and lifecycle status. 

Job Requirements

 Job Requirements 

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
• Basic knowledge of desktop support, including hardware, software installation, troubleshooting, and user support. 
• Familiar with Windows operating systems, printers, and basic networking concepts. 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to assist in maintaining accurate IT asset records and inventory management. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn and support end-users in a fast-paced environment.
