Job Summary

Responsible for preparing and cooking Chinese cuisine dishes according to the restaurant’s standards while maintaining food quality, kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth kitchen operations. The role requires knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and food presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Chinese cuisine dishes based on recipes and SOP. 
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and presentation of food. 
• Handle daily mise en place and food preparation. 
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen area and equipment. 
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients following food safety standards. 
• Monitor stock usage and inform superior on inventory shortages. 
• Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes when required. 
• Ensure timely food preparation during operation hours. 
• Follow kitchen safety procedures and company policies. 
• Work closely with kitchen team to ensure smooth operation.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in Chinese cuisine kitchen. 
• Knowledge in wok cooking, steaming, stir-fry, roasting, and Chinese food preparation. 
• Able to work in fast-paced environment. 
• Good teamwork and communication skills. 
• Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and shifts. 
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards. 
• Experience in Cantonese / Chinese cuisine. 
• Ability to handle high-volume kitchen operations. 
• Good discipline, punctuality, and positive attitude.
