Job Description

SAP FICO ITBA (Finance & Supply Chain Domain)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Purpose/Mission

The SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling) Business Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining core solutions within SAP systems and integrating with other enterprise applications within the Finance domain across NA & SAPMENA zones (North Asia, South Asia Pacific, Middle East, North Africa).

This role requires deep knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling, enterprise architecture, and integration principles. The SAP FICO ITBA will participate in large-scale programs, specifically NEO (S/4 Implementation).


Key Job Accountabilities

  • Support BRM on demand assessment and analyze the impact of new solutions on business and IT processes.
  • Participate/contribute to the Design Authority (DA) governance with stakeholders (BRM, Program/Project Manager).
  • Plan and execute project activities including effort estimation, alignment with business leads/stakeholders/key users, communication, solution design, configuration, training, testing, cutover, and hyper care.
  • Execute end-to-end project work using PM4IT methodology, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Manage Demands to Enhancements (D2E) and ensure deliverable quality.
  • Lead/drive small-to-medium enhancements for SAP changes, group initiatives, applications (e.g., Group P&L Revamp, AgilePoint), and integration projects.
  • Adopt the Build to Run (B2R) process, organize Knowledge Transfer (KT), and handover to the Run team.
  • Work with the factory model to build capacity, acting as a subject matter expert and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Provide Level 4 Support to resolve incidents within defined SLAs, as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors/partners to identify and leverage emerging technologies and functionalities.
  • Coordinate project stakeholders across IT and Business units (Group, Zone, Countries).
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders.


Technical & Professional Competencies

Technical Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in end-to-end SAP implementation, integration, and cross-services.
  • Strong functional and technical experience with SAP FICO (COPA is preferred) and integration with SD and MM modules.
  • Strong understanding of SAP products/services (ERP, CRM, SCM), related tools (Solution Manager, Transport Management), and integration with other applications (HIP, API).
