Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to support customers with suitable engineering products and technical solutions. The role combines technical understanding, engineering drafting knowledge and customer-facing sales activities. You will work with customers, suppliers and the internal engineering team to understand requirements, prepare quotations and support projects from enquiry through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare quotations, product information and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with the engineering, production and purchasing teams.
• Support customer meetings, site visits and product demonstrations where required.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Civil Engineering or other relevant technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, application engineering or engineering drafting. (technical sales / B2B sales experience will be an advantage)
• Experience preparing or interpreting technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing processes or industrial products.
• Comfortable communicating with customers and internal technical teams.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence and willing to travel for customer and site visits.
