The 3PL Management – Manager is responsible for the 3PL performance (ops & finance) and driving 3PLs to improve service levels & performance. You will own 3PL performance and work with 3PLs on their action plans to remedy underperforming KPIs, following up to ensure plans are executed and working.
Manage 3PL performance obligations under the contracts, ensuring that breaches are penalized accordingly & actions taken to prevent repeated breaches. You will gather intelligence on the 3PLs under your management and managing an up-to-date intelligence repository accessible to other team members.
As the main point of contact for 3PLs, you will drive the roll out of new contract and continuous improvement projects to support company growth ambitious.
Ensuring process compliances of invoice and claims for third-party logistics (3PLs), ensuring Invoice and claims process are complete in time and accurately. Communicating Invoice & claims report to third-party logistics (3PLs) and close collaboration with finance in managing 3PLs’ AR & AP. Subsequently, this role requires to perform deep dive analysis for all transactions which relate to Invoice & Claims in order to provide operational and improvement feedback to reduce the number of disputes / leakages as well data accuracy.
Responsibilities
• Define and drive Strategic Growth Plan for each 3PL.
• Works with 3PLs on capacity / network development and explore services to support company strategy.
• Conduct structured intelligence gathering on incumbent 3PLs and manage the intelligence repository
• Lead QBR, Monthly & Weekly meeting, and works with related stakeholders on action plan & follow up closure and evaluate performances.
• Regularly review 3PLs logistic cost and identify possible cost reduction to ensure Cost per Parcel (CPP) remains competitive.
• Constantly review internal & 3PLs processes and ensure compliance. To initiate & lead changes to improve efficiency when necessary.
• Own & Drive 3PL operations performance.
• Monitor 3PL performance in COD remittance.
• Ensure 3PL Contract KPI Compliance.
• To perform weekly & monthly check for 3PLs Invoice & Claims reconciliation.
• Perform Deep Dive analysis to find out root causes and align the final invoice & claims amount.
• To communicate 3PL claims report across internal and external stakeholders on a weekly basis.
• To ensure Invoices are issued weekly and follow-up on claim payments per agreed credit terms.
• Analyse claims data and identify root cause(s) to improve operational processes.
• Perform monthly claims & report for 3PLs, works with related stakeholders to minimize leakages.
• To immediately raise/communicate any issues that involve cross-functional departments and 3PLs for prompt action.
• To provide invoice & claims related analysis to stakeholders as required.
• Constantly review AR, AP, and COD aging to ensure payment are made within the timeframe.
• Review customer complaint (xspace ticket), perform investigation
• Very organized, structured & detail-oriented, able to efficiently navigate and grasp cross functional topics (from ops to finance).
• Strong analytical skills & capacity to do financial simulation.
• Independent with an entrepreneur's mindset, able to find gaps in our current processes to drive optimizations.
• Strong project management skills and drive project implementation.
• Ability to multi-task & keep track of follow-ups across different 3PLs.
• Ability to influence - to convince 3PLs to our point of view on disputes & share intelligence.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
• Superb communication and presentation skills.
• Aptitude to succeed in a stressful and deadline-oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of MS Excel and ability to understand new information systems quickly.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain / Logistic.
