Interior Design Lead 

Role overview

Lead selected projects from concept to completion, with real ownership over design decisions, direct client exposure, and close collaboration with site teams to ensure design intent is delivered into reality. 

Key responsibilities

• ⁠ ⁠Own design direction from concept, design development to IFC 
• ⁠ ⁠Present concepts and design rationale directly to clients
• ⁠ ⁠Work closely with project & site teams to resolve design-to-construction issues
• ⁠ ⁠Ensure design intent is maintained through value engineering and execution
• ⁠ ⁠Lead detailing, materials selection, and authority coordination where required
• ⁠ ⁠Mentor junior designers and influence studio design standards

Job Requirements

•  Minimum 4–6 years of experience in interior design, preferably in commercial, retail, or hospitality projects
•  Strong ability to develop concepts into detailed, buildable design solutions
•  Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (3D visualisation skills are an advantage)
•  Solid understanding of materials, detailing, and construction methods
•  Experience in client presentations and communicating design rationale clearly
•  Ability to coordinate with project managers, consultants, and site teams to resolve design and technical issues
•  Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt designs to real-world construction constraints
•  Comfortable taking ownership of projects and making independent design decisions
•  Good communication skills and ability to mentor junior designers when required
•  Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field
