Job Description

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining detailed project schedules for the LSS5+ Solar Plant. This role ensures that all project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined, tracked, and communicated to stakeholders, supporting the overall success of the project execution. 

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, update, and maintain the project master schedule covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
  •  Establish work breakdown structures (WBS), project calendars, and activity coding in alignment with project requirements.
  •  Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and contractors to ensure schedule accuracy and feasibility. 

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report project progress against baseline schedules and contractual milestones.
  • Identify critical paths, risks, and potential delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and clients.

Coordination & Communication

  • Participate in project meetings to present scheduling updates, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to integrate their schedules into the overall project timeline.
  • Ensure alignment between scheduling data and cost control/financial forecasts.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure schedules comply with contractual requirements, industry standards, and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of schedule revisions, approvals, and change management processes.
  • Support project audits and documentation for regulatory and contractual compliance.

Job Requirements

Academic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Certification in project scheduling tools or methodologies (e.g., PMI-SP, Primavera P6) is an advantage. 

Licensing & Certification:

  • PMI-SP, PMP, or PRINCE2.
  • OSHA / safety certifications (an advantage for site exposure).
  • Valid site / offshore safety passport (if applicable). 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project scheduling, preferably in power plant, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project lifecycle scheduling. 
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes, earned value management (EVM), and critical path analysis.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy/solar project execution phases.

  • Office-based with occasional site visits (solar farms, wind farms, hydro plants).
  • Fast-paced, collaborative environment with international exposure.
  • May involve extended hours during peak project phases.
