Job Description

• Perform routine testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products 
• Conduct tests for pathogens (e.g., Salmonella, E. coli), total plate count, yeast & mold 
• Interpret results and ensure compliance with product specification
• Carry out swab tests on equipment, production areas, and personnel hygiene 
• Monitor air, water, and surfaces for microbial contamination 
• Trend and analyze environmental data
• Ensure compliance with standards such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), ISO 9001, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) 
• Support audits (internal, customer, regulatory) 
• Maintain proper documentation and records

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field 
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–3 years experience are acceptable (depending on level)
• Basic knowledge of food microbiology (pathogens, spoilage organisms) 
• Familiar with microbiological testing methods: 
• Total Plate Count (TPC) 
• Yeast & Mold 
• Pathogen testing (e.g., Salmonella, E. coli) 
• Understanding of sterilization and aseptic techniques
