Job Description

       

The Executive Procurement has the responsibility to assist the Procurement team in the overall procurement activities.

  1. Carry out competitive sourcing of consumables, hardware, engine spares, equipment, etc. for company’s fleet of offshore supply vessel.
  2. Coordinate procurement activities which includes supplier selection, bidding evaluation, Purchase Order (PO) approval and issuance, Request for Quotation (RFQ) and deliveries.
  3. Prepare documentations for commercial bids and evaluation.
  4. Negotiate with vendors for the best value-for-money purchase.
  5. Assist the Manager with quotes for requirements on purchase requisitions.
  6. Prepare and raise Purchase Orders.
  7. Expedite the goods purchased to the end user.
  8. To ensure all goods and services delivered are in compliant with the end users’ requirements and compliance.
  9. Assist the “invoicer” on the payment process.
  10. Assess and monitor vendors’ performance in terms of service provided and value for money.
  11. Respond to suppliers’ correspondences appropriately and timely.
  12. Update on the progress of our Approved Supplier Database.
  13. Liaise with Vendors on purchasing matters and maintain good relationship with vendors.
  14. Develop procurement strategies and procurement planning for the Long Lead Items.
  15. Work towards improvement on supplier’s delivery, cost quality and payment terms.
  16. Assist HOD to prepare monthly expenses, reduce expenses through effective sourcing and participate in activities towards strategic procurement.
  17. Perform any ad-hoc assignment(s) as instructed by the Manager.

Job Requirements

  

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Survey, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  2. 1 - 2 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity preferably in Material / Inventory / Warehouse Management and Purchasing
  3. Have good PC knowledge and Microsoft programs i.e. Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  4. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills.
  5. Able to work with minimum supervision and tight deadlines.
  6. Hardworking and meticulous with positive attitude.
