Job Description

This is a beverage preparation and shift support role. You will prepare tea, milk tea and other beverages according to company recipes and quality standards, ensure drinks meet required taste, presentation and serving time standards, and support daily outlet operations. You will take customer orders, recommend drinks, handle cashier duties, guide junior baristas on beverage preparation and customer service, and manage shift assignments to keep orders moving efficiently during peak hours. 

• Prepare tea, milk tea and other beverages according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure every drink meets the required taste, presentation and serving time
• Support the Outlet Manager in daily operations and supervise shifts when assigned
• Guide junior baristas on beverage preparation, customer service and operating procedures
• Assign tasks during shifts to keep orders moving efficiently, especially during peak hours
• Take customer orders, recommend drinks and handle cashier duties accurately
• Handle customer feedback and resolve routine issues, referring more serious matters to the Outlet Manager
• Prepare ingredients, monitor freshness and expiry dates, and maintain sufficient supplies throughout the shift
• Keep preparation areas, equipment and the outlet clean and organised
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a bubble/milk tea outlet, café or similar beverage business
• Able to prepare drinks consistently and work efficiently during busy periods
• Willing to guide junior staff and take responsibility for assigned shifts
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Chinese is an added advantage
• Responsible, punctual and customer-focused, with good teamwork skills
• Able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Food Handler Training Certificate and valid typhoid vaccination required before handling food
