Job Description

Job Requirements:

  • Coordinate student support services and orientation. 
  • Manage visa, immigration, and housing processes. 
  • Provide academic advising, counseling, and wellness support. 
  • Organize cultural and engagement activities. 
  • Liaise with government bodies and embassies. 
  • Ensure compliance with international education standards. 
  • Facilitate communication between students and faculty. 
  • Monitor academic progress and provide interventions. 
  • Manage scholarships, financial aid, and student records. 
  • Support recruitment, admissions, and emergency response. 
  • Promote leadership, volunteerism, and student satisfaction. 
  • Report on international student affairs to university leadership. 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in student affairs, international education, or related roles, with proven experience managing international student services. 
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with immigration laws, visa processes, and compliance requirements for international students in Malaysia. 
  • Cultural Competence: Strong ability to work with diverse cultures and foster an inclusive environment. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus. 
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, resolve issues promptly, and deliver exceptional student support. 
  • Tech Proficiency: Knowledge of student management systems, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms. 
  • Problem-Solving & Empathy: Strong interpersonal skills with a student-centered approach and ability to handle sensitive situations effectively. 
  • Language Requirement: Fluent in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and English
