About the Internship

We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Technical Executive Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience in laptop refurbishment, hardware troubleshooting, and IT support. You'll gain practical skills working with various computer components and learn industry-standard refurbishment processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in laptop refurbishment including hardware upgrades and component replacements (RAM, SSD, batteries, etc.)
• Help conduct diagnostic tests to identify hardware and software issues
• Support the team in installing and configuring operating systems (Windows, Linux) and software applications
• Learn to clean, repair, and test laptops according to quality control standards
• Assist with quality control inspections on inbound and outbound equipment
• Help maintain records of refurbishment processes, repairs, and inventory
• Support troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices
• Learn proper handling of electronic components and e-waste disposal
• Assist with equipment preparation for customer deployment
• Shadow senior technicians and learn best practices in hardware repair
• Help organize and manage spare parts inventory
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements

Job Requirements

Requirements

Essential:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed SPM / Diploma / Certificate in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware components (RAM, SSD, HDD, motherboards, etc.)
• Interest in hands-on technical work and hardware troubleshooting
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Basic understanding of Windows operating system
• Able to work in a team environment
• Physically able to handle equipment and stand for periods of time
• Good attitude and eagerness to learn

Preferred:

• Previous experience with computer assembly or basic repairs (personal projects or coursework)
• Familiarity with laptop models from brands like Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS
• Basic understanding of BIOS settings
• Interest in IT support or hardware maintenance as a career path
• Problem-solving mindset
• Good time management skills
