About Lips Carpenter

At Lips Carpenter, we believe beauty should be made gentle, personal and beautiful.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves beauty and cosmetics and has strong product sense — someone who understands what customers want and what makes a product relevant, useful and desirable.

This is a fast-moving, hands on role. You’ll work closely with our R&D lead, manufacturers and suppliers to turn product ideas into reality — from identifying what customers need, shaping the product and packaging, to coordinating development and production. You’ll learn along the way and be expected to bring curiosity, good judgement and a can-do attitude.

What You’ll Do

1. Product Development

• Work with R&D teams and manufacturers to develop products based on our needs and standards.
• Research beauty products, ingredients, packaging and market trends.
• Review samples, provide feedback and follow products through to production.

2. Sourcing & Purchasing

• Source and purchase packaging, boxes, materials and other product-related items.
• Compare suppliers, pricing and MOQ, and negotiate for the best value.
• Manage supplier communication and follow up on orders, production and deliveries.

3. Quality Control

• Conduct hands-on QC for incoming products, packaging and materials.
• Identify quality issues and work with suppliers to resolve them.
• Coordinate the team when additional support is needed for QC.

4. Project Coordination

• Manage multiple products, SKUs, suppliers and deadlines at the same time.
• Keep track of production, delivery and stock timelines.
• Coordinate closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure everything arrives on time and as planned.

Job Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, resourceful, organised and genuinely passionate about beauty.

• You love beauty and cosmetics and naturally follow brands, products, ingredients and trends.
• Strong attention to detail — you notice when something isn't right.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple moving pieces.
• Resourceful and comfortable solving problems independently.
• Comfortable communicating and negotiating with suppliers.
• Mandarin speaking is required for communication with Chinese-speaking suppliers.
• Experience in product development, sourcing, purchasing, QC or beauty is a plus.

Most importantly, you:

• Love products. You’re curious about how beauty products are made.
• Have a can-do spirit. You look for solutions when things don't go as planned.
• Take ownership. You follow things through until they are done.
• Are sharp and organised. You can manage many details without losing track.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Cosmetic Science, Science, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Development or a related field.
• Experience in cosmetics, skincare, personal care or sourcing is a plus.
• Mandarin speaking is required.
