Job Description

  1. Ensure full compliance with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) regulations and internal safety standards across all outlets.
  2. Conduct regular store safety inspections (kitchen, equipment, electrical, housekeeping, hygiene-related risks).
  3. Perform risk assessments (HIRARC) for store operations, including hot surfaces, machinery, slips/trips, and food handling areas.
  4. Investigate workplace incidents (e.g., burns, cuts, slips) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  5. Ensure timely reporting of incidents in line with Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 requirements.
  6. Work closely with Operations, QA, and Projects teams to ensure safe store setup, renovations, and daily operations.
  7. Monitor contractors and fit-out works during new store openings to ensure safety compliance.
  8. Develop and roll out simple, store-friendly SOPs and safety guidelines for frontline staff.
  9. Conduct safety training and briefings (e.g., equipment handling, emergency response, fire safety).
  10. Support emergency preparedness (fire drills, evacuation plans, incident response).
  11. Maintain proper documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance tracking.
  12. Drive continuous improvement in safety practices across all outlets.

Job Requirements

  1. Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
  2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience, preferably in F&B, retail, or multi-site operations.
  3. Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH requirements, including Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
  4. Experience in HIRARC, safety audits, and incident investigation.
  5. Practical understanding of kitchen and outlet risks (hot equipment, sharp tools, wet floors, etc.).
  6. Good communication skills — able to train and engage frontline staff 
  7. Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Willing to travel frequently between outlets.
