Role Overview
The Product Executive oversees the end-to-end new product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization. This role focuses on creating innovative, data-informed food and beverage concepts that address market opportunities, elevate customer experience, and strengthen Luckin Coffee’s competitive position in the F&B market. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all products are scalable, compliant, and operationally efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Trend Research & Analysis: Research and analyse trends in coffee, tea, functional beverages, and snacks, including health-focused offerings, fruit-infused beverages, tea-coffee hybrids, plant-based ingredients, and flavour innovations.
- Menu Concept Development: Develop and propose creative menu concepts aligned with global beverage trends and Luckin Coffee’s brand positioning, while incorporating local taste preferences and cultural relevance.
- Prototype Development & Testing: Partner with the Product Manager to develop prototypes, conduct sensory evaluations, and refine recipes based on feedback and internal quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, QA, and Halal teams to ensure product feasibility, scalability, and alignment with launch timelines.
- Documentation & Specifications: Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including formulations, specifications, product briefs, and test results, to ensure consistency in execution.
- Launch & Post-Launch Support: Support product launches through digital menu content, staff training materials, and post-launch performance monitoring and analysis
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Hospitality,or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in food & beverage product development, innovation, or menu planning.
- Familiarity with beverage trends, flavour profiling, and trend forecasting.
- Ability to interpret customer insights and translate them into compelling product ideas.
