Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain banking applications on the AS400 platform using RPG and CL
Configure AS400 environments including Libraries, Subsystems, JobD and JobQ
Perform data import/export between AS400 and external systems
Manage job scheduling and batch processing using Control-M
Work with DB2 databases on AS400 for data processing and query development
Manage application lifecycle and deployments using ALDON
Implement integrations with external systems using IBM Connect:Direct and SFTP
Support development and troubleshooting across production and non-production environments
Participate in CI/CD processes and automated deployments
Collaborate with teams to implement ETL workflows and support banking data pipelines
Skills
Must have
4+ years of strong experience with IBM i (AS400) platform
Programming experience in RPG and CL
Database experience with DB2 on AS400
Experience in Environment setup (Library, Subsystem, JobD, JobQ)
Experience with Control-M scheduler
Experience using ALDON CMS for application lifecycle management
Experience in data import/export on AS400
Experience integrating systems using IBM Connect:Direct and SFTP
Prior experience developing banking applications using RPG, CLP, SQL400 and Hadoop
Strong problem-solving abilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and execute.
Flexibility to stretch and take challenges
Nice to have
Knowledge of Unix environments
Exposure to Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Impala
Experience with NoSQL databases
Familiarity with Shell scripting and automation tools
Exposure to CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, GitHub)
Knowledge of BMC monitoring tools
Experience with JIRA for project management
AS400 (IBM i)
